-Make sure you have a healthy meal. When you feel energetic from the inside, your syllabus will be finished quicker.

-Drink enough water and keep yourself hydrated all the time. Human brain capacity may reduce a bit in the dehydrated phase. So keep yourself way out of that.

-Have some snacks ready to eat between the breaks. It will give you some instant energy and a really good adrenalin boost which will help you concentrate longer.

-Move to a better, quiet place where the disturbance rate is almost zero. You can’t take out the best from yourself if you are in a noisy place.

–Cut off all distractions including your mobile phone and other distracting internet-related activities.

When you are prepared to begin the one-night history challenge, you need to plan the whole study session so that nothing important is ignored. Sit on your desk, and take out your syllabus and your timer.

–Divide your whole syllabus into three parts:

-If possible, collect some of the previous year’s questions so that you can find out what topics are repeatedly on the question papers. This will help you categorize your chapters to prioritize.

-Count the hours you are going to study and divide them into four equal parts. Keep two of them for studying the most important chapters for the exam, one for the important topics, and the rest for good-to-know topics. Thus you will get more time and be more focused.

-Whenever you are done dividing the chapters into hours, write down them on a piece of paper or sticky note and keep that in front of your eye. This keeps you focused on what you need to read and keeps your head calm.

When you have clarity on how you are going to start your studying session, it is easy for your mind to hop on it and grab that. First, set the timer and keep in mind that never make your session more than one hour.

If possible keep it 50-55 minutes long and then take a short break of 5-10 minutes. It will help you keep your head calm and learn things effectively.

-Try to make a chart with the important dates, years, and names. Make a story on your mind to remember and practice it over and over again. The human brain can memorize stories in a short time, so it can be of great help.

–Draw a blank timeline and try to fill that up with the books away. After you are finished, check out how many of them have turned out to be right. Repeat that process and eventually, you will find you have almost zero errors in no time.

-Try some flashcards with the names and dates written. These flashcards can help you memorize them sooner and easier as these things are normally really easy to be forgotten. This will help you to remember your history notes easily.

-Deep dive into the differences between periods, suppose; what are the major changes from time A to time B? You need to analyze the timeline with events to get this question right. So be careful and attentive to these details.

–Mark some significant changes or revolutionary times of history and study them carefully. As those are really important, the question setter will obviously not miss this out!

-Try to finish one chapter and discuss it with a friend or a teacher. This will help you clarify the confusion are make the concept stronger. Besides, it is also good for memorizing important events.

–Use different colors when you make flashcards or timelines or even when you are marking something important. Colors have a reputation for making the human brain sharper and reminding things when they are in need.
